Our Team

We are incredibly proud of the team we have built at Financial Escape. We believe that the people within a company determine how successful it is.

The History

Financial Escape was established in 2004 by Phil Castle who was joined in 2016 by his Son Zac.

Financial Escape's key to success has been the pillars on which our business stand are; Honesty, Integrity and Trust. We know our clients and always base our advice on the best possible outcome for them, not us. By having this attitude we have managed to thrive under recommendations from our loyal clients.

Financial Escape's team is made up of like minded individuals who all bring something different to the company but ultimately share the same core beliefs and ethics as Phil and Zac.

Zac Castle

I came into Financial Escape with no agenda and no plan, I just wanted to see what financial advice really was, and why Dad enjoyed it so much. I can hand on heart say that I love what I do, helping people achieve their wildest dreams. I don't feel like I sell products, I really feel that if I'm selling anything, I would say, I sell peace of mind.

My aim for Financial Escape and the Team is to carry on the fantastic work Dad has already started, and to build on his success. What we do, and how we do it has improved sevenfold over the past few years and I'm really happy with the trajectory that we are on. Between Dad and I, we have built the perfect small team of like minded highly trustworthy individuals that I genuinely believe will continue to take Financial Escape in the right direction.

I have a young family and live in Broadstairs so most of my spare time is either at the beach, in one of the many fantastic local restaurants or enjoying everything else our beautiful towns have to offer.

If you think you can, if you think you can't, you're right!

Phil Castle

I started out in branch banking moving into advice in one of the high street banks. When establishing Financial Escape back in 2004 I wanted to ensure that my clients were able to invest in line with their morals instead of contradicting them.

As a business man I obviously needed to ensure that by being ethical it wasn't going to dampen any return that my clients deserved. I believe that the last 16 odd years I have done what I set out to do and proven that ethical advice is better for both my clients and the world we live in.

Now that Zac works with me I find myself having more and more time to enjoy the things I love, like skiing, Kayaking and socialising.

Jack

I joined Financial Escape having completed a degree in Accounting and Finance. I have always been passionate about ensuring my work has a positive impact for both our clients, and the environment.

I was drawn to Financial Escape as ethical and socially responsibility is part of the companies foundations and is in line with my personal values. I consider myself to be very analytically minded and have a keen interest in the workings of financial markets. I am currently studying towards my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning to enhance my technical knowledge, allowing me to provide the best possible support to both our clients and advisers.

Outside of work, I have a young family and spend most of my time either at the park, the beach or sharing my passion for cooking with them.

Jane

My career was working in the West End theatre but following a move out of London down to beautiful Broadstairs, I saw an advertisement for a role within Financial Escape as an administrator. The fact that it is a small family business run on ethical lines attracted me so I decided to apply and was delighted to be successful. I have to admit that having an office dog was also a major factor in my application and I am happy to say that Freddie and I have bonded!

I enjoy being active and my non-working time is spent doing Pilates, playing pickleball, badminton, tennis and bowls, going to the gym and walking. I also enjoy going to the cinema, live music gigs, socialising with friends and eating out at the plethora of wonderful restaurants Broadstairs has on offer.

Freddie

Freddie is working hard on morale. His role involves cuddles, entertainment and security.

If not in his bed he can usually be found following the patches of sun around the office.

He works 9-5 so is almost certainly here to welcome clients into the office when they come.
